A vision system is only useful if it runs reliably on the line, shift after shift. Technology choices should follow from the inspection problem, not the other way around.
Engineers and technicians should be able to see what the system is doing and why it made a decision. Opaque inspection is difficult to trust and harder to debug.
Plant personnel need to adjust, retrain, and service a system long after installation. Clear code, documented interfaces, and standard tooling matter more than novelty.
